Tháng năm, tưởng nhớ Bác Hồ
Công lao kiến tạo cơ đồ Việt Nam
Dân ta thoát cảnh lầm than
Đất nước đàng hoàng, tươi đẹp hơn xưa

Chúng con xin nguyện kế thừa
Gắng công học tập, để vừa Hồng – Chuyên
Ghi lòng lời Bác dạy khuyên
Cần kiệm liêm chính, đặt lên hàng đầu

Dựng xây Tổ quốc mạnh giầu
Sánh vai cường quốc năm châu vững bền
Xứng danh con cháu Rồng – Tiên
Quyết giữ chủ quyền, lãnh thổ ông cha

Phát triến kinh tế tiến xa
Đổi mới tạo đà hội nhập đa phương
Việt Nam dân tộc kiên cường
Ngàn năm tỏa sáng, vầng dương Bác Hồ…

REMEMBERING UNCLE HO’S WORDS

In May, we remember Uncle Ho
Who built the foundation for Vietnam’s soul.
Our people freed from misery’s woe,
A nation more grand, a beauty made whole.

We vow to inherit the path you laid,
To study with heart, both “Red and Expert.”*
In our souls, your wise words never fade:
To be Diligent, Thrifty, Just, and Alert.**

To build a Fatherland, wealthy and strong,
Standing tall with the world, where we belong.
Worthy of the Dragon and Fairy’s name,
To guard our frontiers and ancestral fame.

Developing the economy, reaching afar,
With innovation as our guiding star.
Vietnam, a nation resilient and bold,
Shining for ages in Uncle Ho’s gold.

*Hồng – Chuyên (Red and Expert): This is a specific revolutionary concept. “Red” refers to political consciousness/morality, and “Expert” refers to professional competence.
**Cần kiệm liêm chính(Diligent, Thrifty, Just, and Alert): This is a core Four Virtues teaching by Ho Chi Minh.
