Chân trời sao biển hôn nhau
Dõi theo bờ lặng lòng đau tím sầu
Thôi đành giấu mối tình sâu
Ngàn năm sóng vỗ thương đau trắng bờ.
Biển đi mang cả giấc mơ
Để trăng ngơ ngác thẫn thờ đơn côi
Thương bờ sóng vỗ muôn nơi
Nhưng quên sao được một thời đã xa.
Cát nằm giữ bước chân nhoà
Lời thương đã cũ, tan hòa khói sương
Mai này lỡ bước tha hương
Xin làm bến đợi bên đường ngàn năm.
Thôi đành gác chuyện xa xăm
Trả về cho biển thanh âm thuở nào
Dẫu cho lòng có chênh chao
Bờ xin giữ chút ngọt ngào thế thôi.
Có ngày bão tố ngoài khơi
Nơi đây bờ vẫn trọn đời thủy chung.

The Harbor of Eternity

Where stars and ocean kiss along the line,
The silent shore watches with a bleeding ache.
Deep in the heart, I hide this love of mine,
A thousand years of waves, the white shores break.
The ocean leaves, taking all dreams away,
The lonely moon is left in dazed despair.
Pity the shore, where waves forever stray,
But who forgets the past we used to share?
The sand still keeps the fading steps we knew,
Old words of love now melt in misty air.
If future paths should lead to worlds anew,
Beside the road, I’ll wait and be right there.
Let’s lay aside the tales of days gone by,
Return to sea its ancient, fading strain.
And though my heart may tremble and may cry,
The shore just keeps the sweetness that remains.
Though stormy tempests rage out in the blue,
The shore stays here, forever deep and true.
